Boss Board Alert: The Sphere Northampton Adds Heavy-Hitting Entrepreneurs to Its Leadership Roster
Florence, MA — [May 22, 2025] — The Sphere Northampton, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting women and nonbinary entrepreneurs in Western Massachusetts, is proud to announce the appointment of Erica White to its Board of Directors as Treasurer. The organization also welcomes four new members to its Advisory Board: Robin Griffith, Tiffany Thibodeau, Grace Kim, and Sasha Wilde.
These new appointments reflect The Sphere’s ongoing commitment to inclusive, community-rooted leadership and the development of a thriving ecosystem for underrepresented entrepreneurs.
Erica White, founder of White Hollow Yard and Home, joins the Board of Directors as Treasurer. A longtime Western Massachusetts resident, Erica holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she graduated cum laude in 2011. After serving as a senior engineer in local manufacturing, Erica transitioned to entrepreneurship in 2021 to focus on raising her children and growing her design and landscaping business. Erica is also the creative force behind the interior design of The Sphere’s Innovation Lab coworking space. She is passionate about helping other parents pursue entrepreneurship as a pathway to creating family-centered lives.
Joining The Sphere’s Advisory Board are:
Robin Griffith, a Northampton-based mixed media artist and photographer, whose work centers women of color and celebrates identity, texture, and bold expression. Robin is the creator of the art series Women of Color Are Political and is a passionate advocate for spontaneous, organic art that invites new perspectives and amplifies marginalized voices. She also serves as The Sphere’s Art Curator.
Tiffany Thibodeau, the Principal Consultant of Tiffany Thibodeau Consulting, brings over 20 years of experience in education and nonprofit development. She specializes in grant writing and storytelling for mission-driven organizations focused on youth and education. Tiffany also serves on the board of the Hilltown Land Trust and participates in committees related to youth empowerment and environmental stewardship.
Grace Kim, PhD is a technologist and owner of Mapping Insight, a technical consulting firm. Through her business, she empowers local businesses with emerging technologies in data analytics, automation, and artificial intelligence. The Sphere has been an essential resource for her entrepreneurship journey, and she is thrilled to give back to this amazing community an Advisory Board Member. She earned her PhD in Earth and Planetary Sciences and then worked as a climate scientist and satellite oceanographer at NASA. Now that she has her own business, she has been channeling her latest obsession in healthcare operations to help provider-owned practices stay alive (and thrive!) in our community despite systemic headwinds.
Sasha Wilde is the owner of Sexton Roofing and the proud mom of two. She’s deeply committed to preserving the legacy of small businesses in Western Mass by acquiring and nurturing them for sustainable growth. She’s passionate about educating small business owners on the opportunities of selling and ensuring their hard work continues to thrive for years to come. Her mission is to help build a strong, vibrant future for the local community through thoughtful entrepreneurship and stewardship.
“We are thrilled to welcome Erica, Robin, Tiffany, Grace, and Sasha to The Sphere’s leadership circle,” said Megan Allen, The Sphere’s President and Chief of Momentum. “Each of them brings a unique blend of expertise, vision, and lived experience that will deepen our impact and further our mission to uplift women and nonbinary entrepreneurs across our region.”
